Boating...

All of us in the water, except David who took the pic.

We went boating recently and it will probally be the last time of the season. We went the 1st of June and it was freezing. So we went recently to at least we got to go when it was kinda warm. We of course went to Yuba, it has dried up so much. But we had fun anyway.

It was Joe, I, Tera, David, Miriah and her friend Issac that went. Me and Tera lost our voices of course. Our throats hurt from it and I'm sure the Yuba water didn't help.

Hard to tell, But this is Joe riding the Bull.

RMR 8.24.08

Saturday was our last race at RMR here in Salt Lake City. It was a hot day seemed hotter than normal. We went through 42 bottles of water, 10 bags of ice, 5 Powerade Zero's, and about a 12 pack of the ol Mountain Dew.

Hot day with some hotties... :-)

Hot Heather.

Joe in line for Qualifying.

It was a good day we have finally got the car to not push in the center of the corner! We qualified 10th and finsihed in the main event 13th. We had overheating issues again and pulled in on lap 58, I believe.

Joe thinks the overheating is due to a bad radiator cap. Guess we will see in Twin.

This was also the return race for "Fireball Peterson" aka David. He got his engine re-assembled. He was doing the best he has probally ever during the main event, Daves car has a miss that we are working on finding. There for he was lacking power. But he had a good night of finishing a career high of 11th. He came in on lap 60 or so due to a flat right front tire.

Of course Saturday was another HOT day and of course eventfull, as it always is at the track.

Eagles

So on Wednesday night Joe was outside on the phone about 11 pm. And he came inside and motioned for me to come outside. This always puts me on alert when it's late, because we have a lot of bugs out here. Like I remind you of my pal the Scorpion?

Anyway I went out there and there were two Eagles in our neighborhood. Yes two! It was so crazy apparently they were swooping down in our driveway, and making plenty of chatter between them.

Tera thinks it was all the Schnauzers in my yard. I had Dave Millers dogs here cause he was out of town, so I had a total of 6. Lots. Anyway I hurried them in I didn't need any doggies getting ate.

Sorry no pics, they wouldn't turn out.

Duel for the 200 Post Falls, ID

Joe driving.

Long ride in car. That is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of this trip. It was a 11 hour drive and 730 miles each way. We went through Montana to Idaho, and we got to see some pretty scenery. Along the way we saw some billboards advertising the Testicale Festivale I wasn't quick enough to snap a pic but this is the bull of the billboard, we couldn't stop laughing.

Any way it was only Joe n I that went on this trip. And it was nice to get away just the two of us, that doesn't happen often. But there was a flip side no help just us. But I would say we did really well. I didn't get as many pics as I would have liked because I was busy and couldn't spot and be a photographer at the same time.

Joe getting ready for Heat Race.

Heat Race line up.

Photos from Heat Race, best I could do.
This track was a hard track to get ahold of for everyone in our series. We did pretty well strait out of the trailer. But as many of you know... Joes slogan is "If it aint broke fix it till it is". This was no exception being just the two of us. We worked our butts off on the car. We qualified 12th out of 26 cars and started 9th and finished 19th. The car did pretty good we had some overheating problems during the main so we missed about the last 20 laps or so. But I am happy coming home with our car in one piece! There were many who did not!

End of the night, our car in one piece!

Lake Courde da lane. This is a large lake and very pretty. Maybe if we race next year we could take the boat too.
